the Metal, the Artist captures the chronological and climatic
time at a work of man, where architecture and nature seem
to be merged by the action of the sea and the wind. Through
the passing of the years, the sea goes on undoing and remodeling
the work of the man. On the cannons corroded by the sea air,
and on the rocky foundations, the touch of the hands reveals
to us the age of the construction. On the background, as represented
on this jewel, there is the outstanding presence of the City
of Rio de Janeiro, the primary objective for the existence
of the Fortress. |
